Inquiry Learning in Chemistry

I have been inspired by reading on the internet and watching videos to try inquiry learning in my year 12 chemistry class. The first idea was to use the POGIL method for guided inquiry learning. I tried this briefly and found the students needed a more concrete and authentic context to learn - not just a written example. I tried writing Colorado Mountain College This is a commercial site Trying to find a context for this. There are many experiments available - but the students will see them as "cookbook labs", and so not be so motivated to find the answers.
